MICROLAB grad students demonstrating the capabilities of FPGA-based designs during the opening of the Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) laboratory last May 2013 in Batac, Ilocos Norte. The MICROLAB facilitated the donation (from DOST) of FPGA boards and PCs, as well as formalized the linkage between the two groups.

Analog Devices, Inc (ADI) Philippines establishes the Microelectronics Design Professorial Chair for the UP EEEI MICROLAB (May 2013).

The Eye-C project launch (January 2013) at the Astoria Hotel. The MICROLAB- and DOST-sponsored event formalized the joint microelectronics development efforts with the various MicroEd universities, as well as with industry partners such as Synopsys, Cadence, BiTMICRO, Canon, RoHM and Analog Devices.
