Deriving the Ideal BJT Parameters
After finishing tutorials 1-4, we are in a position to extend the framework in tutorial 2, and obtain the ideal BJT parameters for two new transistors: (1) the 2N3904, an NPN transistor, and (2) the 2N3906, a PNP transistor.
The SPICE models of these two transistors are contained in the 2N390X.lib
model file.
You are then expected to complete the table below:
2N3904 (NPN) | 2N3906 (PNP) | |
You will need to make sure that you create the appropriate test circuit for a PNP transistor.
What to Submit:
- A short 1-page writeup of your methodology with the completed Table 1, including:
- The schematic you used to obtain the ideal BJT parameters for both transistor (not included in the 1-page limit).
- The necessary graphs and figures to support your answers (not included in the 1-page limit).
- The SPICE netlist you used.
Submissions:
Using your EEE account, submit your report and netlist using this link.
